Yes, it’s an indulgence. Yes, it’s a splurge. But for a special occasion—or simply when you’re craving an afternoon of exceptional food, fine wine and impeccable hospitality—it delivers an experience that feels every bit worthy of the Four Seasons name.

Make a Reservation— Especially on Special Occasions
I visited Curate as a walk-in after watching a couple of Instagram reels, something I wouldn’t recommend.
Weekends are already busy, and during occasions like Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or public holiday weekends, reservations are almost essential. Without one, I was seated in a quieter section outside the main dining hall where most of the live cooking stations and buffet counters were located.
Initially, I was slightly disappointed. However, the quieter space soon became one of the unexpected highlights of the afternoon.
Instead of the bustling main dining room, I enjoyed a peaceful table with uninterrupted views of the Petronas Twin Towers. It definitely felt more private, making the leisurely brunch even more relaxing.
Add on Free-Flow Wine Package to Elevate your Experience
I began the meal with a glass of Chardonnay, priced at approximately RM45++.
Shortly after, the staff suggested upgrading to the free-flow wine package, available from RM98++.
It didn’t take much convincing, with the math, I just needed to have 3 glasses. So for any of my wine lovers, opt for the package.
The Chardonnay paired beautifully with the seafood selection, creamy pasta dishes and even the dessert course, making the upgrade excellent value if you plan to enjoy more than two glasses throughout brunch.
Seafood and More Seafood
If there’s one section that deserves your immediate attention, it’s the seafood counter.
Fresh mussels, prawns, lobster and a decent spread of chilled seafood quickly became the highlight of my meal. Everything tasted fresh, well presented and constantly replenished throughout service.
While the hot dishes were enjoyable, I found the seafood to be the true star of Curate’s brunch experience. My personal favourite were the prawns and caviar.
Save Room for Dessert
One surprise was just how extensive the dessert selection was. I felt I was at a mini bakery shop with multiple options ranging from ice-cream, tarts to shortcakes.
The cakes immediately reminded me of the elegant pastries you’d find at Paris Baguette—light, beautifully presented and not overly sweet.
I’m a fan of chocolate cakes, but their strawberry shortcake, in particular, lived up to its reputation. After one slice, I found myself returning for a second.
If you’re planning your plates strategically, save space for desserts, it is definitely not to be missed.
Hospitality
As expected from Four Seasons, the service was attentive and polished throughout the afternoon.
Although being seated away from the main dining hall meant walking back and forth to the buffet stations, the staff remained warm and proactive.
The live band added another layer to the experience, creating a lively yet sophisticated atmosphere. However, as I was seated further away, it wasn’t too overwhelming.
My Strategy for Making the Most of Curate
I arrived at around 1:45 PM, leaving me with roughly 90 minutes before brunch service concluded.
Looking back, I’d do two things differently next time.
First, I’d book an earlier seating to enjoy the experience at a slower pace.
Second, I’d take it a little easier on the wine.
Four glasses of Chardonnay disappeared surprisingly quickly, but they also filled me up far more than I expected. If your goal is to sample as much of the buffet as possible, pace yourself with the drinks and focus on the seafood first before moving on to the desserts.
Is Curate Worth It?
If the intention is to simply treating yourself or celebrate someone, absolutely.
Would I opt for a brunch at Curate over an afternoon tea? Yes.
Curate sits firmly in the luxury dining category, and its pricing reflects that. But when viewed as an experience rather than just another buffet, it becomes much easier to justify.
Between the quality of the seafood, attentive service, elegant surroundings and thoughtfully curated wine selection, Curate offers one of Kuala Lumpur’s value for money, luxury brunch experiences—and I’ll gladly return to.
