Coca Cola Batch Blends

On 12th May 2021, Coca Cola SG introduced their Coca Cola Batch Blends, available at 7-eleven. It comes in 2 flavors – Coffee & Chocolate and Coffee & Caramel Coca Cola.

I was walking past 7-eleven yesterday after my morning errands and decided to give the Coffee & Chocolate Coca Cola a shot! Ended up drinking this for lunch.

The Batch Blends have been introduced in 2018, according to Coca Cola’s Business and Sustainability Report in other parts of the world. It can be consumed on its own, as a mixer or in cocktails.

Packaging: The packaging is recognizable – thanks to their red logo and usual black background for Coke Zero. However, it has coffee and cocoa beans outlined in silver to emphasize its flavor.

Taste: As I opened the can, there was a strong coffee smell and on the first sip I felt it was pretty much similar to a diet coke. However, after a few sips, there was a lingering coffee taste on my taste buds. The subtle hints of chocolate and coffee made it taste like dark chocolate.

Price: SGD 1.90

Opinion: The chocolate taste was underpowered and it tasted like a coffee infused coke zero. Perhaps, if you are a Coca Cola or coffee enthusiast, this might be really something worth to try out before it is off the shelves. It was definitely a refreshing twist (for me) to try out a new flavor, once in a while given its steep price point.

Have you tried this out? What are your thoughts on it?
